"Feeding our area's children, elderly, needy and ill."
The Food
Bank of Northwest Alabama distributes food to non-profit
organizations and churches in a four county region including
Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale and Lawrence. Housing up to 500,000
pounds of food items in a 13,000 square foot warehouse, our staff
is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and on call
24 hours a day for emergency food distribution and feeding the
needy and ill. All non-profit organizations who qualify are encouraged
to become an active member by asking your director or pastor
to contact our offices for an application. All prospective member
agencies should be assured that the restrictions and procedures
under which we operate prohibit us and the agencies we serve
from selling, swapping or bartering with donated food products
