School Meals
Program Assistance
The National School Lunch Program
and the School Breakfast Program provide per-meal cash reimbursements
to help schools provide nutritious meals to children. Household income
is used to determine whether a child will receive a reduced-price
or free meal. All public and non-profit private schools and all residential
care institutions can participate in the program.
To be eligible for school meals,
parents must:
-
Apply to their child's school
(the same application will cover both lunch and breakfast.)
-
Meet household income limits.
